[ ] No stray HTML comment/text appears above the header.
[ ] Play opens with the game menu closed and the board using the main viewport.
[ ] Menu opens and closes from Menu, Close, backdrop and Escape; hidden menu controls are not keyboard-focusable.
[ ] Menu opens directly on Game actions; the former long Status block does not precede the controls.
[ ] Game statistics / diagnostics and Board key are collapsed reference sections at the bottom of the menu.
[ ] Current-player banner shows White, Black or Wood and the correct action above the board.
[ ] Return from Reserve / Echo placement is available in the top game-state panel without scrolling below the board.
[ ] The top panel shows White and Black reserves as miniature pieces plus a count.
[ ] Three-player mode also shows the Wood reserve.
[ ] At game over, the banner says '<player> wins' and the indicator uses the winning player's colour rather than the nominal next player.

[ ] Each player's Still Point marker disappears after that player's first completed passage.
[ ] After the third qualification marker disappears, corners are open.
[ ] Move guidance On shows normal placement/legal/capture/Echo/Still Point prompts.
[ ] Move guidance Off hides those prompts but still permits legal moves and rejects illegal ones.
[ ] Move guidance preference survives a refresh.
[ ] Show legal moves is disabled while Move guidance is Off.
[ ] Player count, victory condition and opening reset a fresh game immediately.
[ ] Game-defining settings are disabled after the first action and available again after reset.
[ ] Board appearance remains available during play.
[ ] Refresh after a move offers Resume previous game or Start new game; the saved game is not silently restored.
[ ] Mobile board uses the available screen width and the top reserve action remains accessible.
[ ] Copyright footer appears at the bottom of the page.
[ ] Main game styling loads from styles.css with no inline style block/attribute.
[ ] New game / Reset appears only once and resets the game normally.
[ ] Summary includes Leader responses, Deadlock breaks and Deadlock escalations.
[ ] Summary does not show the obsolete SP routes or Avg commitment fields.
